Each Dog drop off & pick up takes place in my kitchen, so you will always be invited into my house to sign the booking form. This allows you to see that your dog is in good hands! The space is clean and comfortable, my boarding licence (and Canine First Aid certificate) displayed prominently, and you will be able to meet the other guest dogs in that day, if any - in hopes of helping set your minds at ease, knowing that your pup will be happy and safe here.
For scheduling reasons I ask that each client arrive at their agreed upon time. There is 15 minutes grace period before and after the agreed time (a 30 minute window), but if you'd like to arrive more than 15 minutes earlier/ later than agreed, I ask that you confirm via phone first as I may not be able to accomodate any changes. I cannot guarantee that I will be available outside agreed upon times.
Please ensure you bring:
- Vet books (with vaccination proof) for each dog EVERY TIME they stay.
- Any medications/ supplements.
- Enough food for their stay! Double Check this please 🙏
- Clean Bedding - please wash any dog bedding in advance of drop off.
- Crate, if applicable.
- Harness, if applicable.
- Any personal essentials that your dog might feel lost without (teddy, puppy blanket etc)
Your listed Emergency Contact must be able to collect your dog in an emergency - I have only had to use this once in 2 years of boarding, it is not done unless necessary! There is a penalty fee of £50 for each hour that I am unable to contact you, if I am unable to reach you during an emergency situation, and a separate £50 penalty fee if your emergency contact is unable to collect your dog during an emergency.
I cannot accept bitches in season or dogs showing signs of illness due to my license regulations. It is your responsibility to ensure that your dog is healthy enough to stay here, and no refunds will be given for cancellations due to dogs being visibly ill or in season on drop off.
I do not post daily "Who's In?" updates on any social media, as I believe it better protects your privacy and home security while you may be away. Any posts on Hopwood Hippy social media are made after that guest dog has gone home, in case anyone knows you & your dog!
I endeavour to send updates as often as possible, including video & picture evidence of how they're getting along; at least once or twice daily, but more if I'm able.
