If you have never used a dog boarder or walker before, here is a brief outline of what you should expect when using dog boarding or daycare services through Hopwood Hippy. Please click the individual tabs on the "Our Process" drop down menu for more information on each stage.
YOU MUST ALWAYS CHECK ANY DOG BOARDER IS LICENSED BY THEIR LOCAL COUNCIL.
Licensing ensures your dog is safe and with a responsible, knowledgeable care professional: I have been inspected and deemed a suitable home for your dogs while you aren't here!
I have procedures in place in case of emergency, and am insured privately.
INITIAL ENQUIRY
DOG SERVICES - Please find my initial application form by clicking here. By applying for services you consent to my business policies, found here or by clicking "Business Policies" on the menu at the top of this webpage.
INITIAL VISIT
All services require an initial visit, whether that's a meet & greet at our house for a dog needing home boarding; or me visiting your house prior to walking your dog/ providing a gardening quote. I need to first see what I'm working with, to ensure I'm the right person for the job.
This is the perfect opportunity to ask all our questions, and if you're bringing your dog(s) to our house, its also ideal time for them to have a sniff around and see if they'd be happy here.
If deemed suitable, your dog will be able to come for daycare after this visit, and stay up to two nights.
TRIAL NIGHT
Any booking for home boarding of more than 2 nights requires a trial night, due to licencing regulations. This is to ensure that your dog is able to settle overnight - and it helps them figure out that you will be back for them when you can!
If your dog does not settle on this trial night and we have to call you collect your pup (and cancel their planned stay), the boarding charge for the night will be refunded.
If the trial night is successful, your dog is then welcome to board with us as needed, subject to availability.
